The primary objective of the COPA airlines logotype design is to convey a sense of international fellowship while also incorporating some of Panama’s own cultural symbolism. The logotype uses brighter hues of red and blue, which are the colors found on the Panamanian flag.

The brighter colors are intended to capture one’s attention, while the heavy, wide typeface and airplane silhouette project professionalism from the company. In addition, the letters “P” and “A” are separately colored to allude to the abbreviation for Panama.

The COPA Airlines check-in counter is designed to be simplistic and non-intimidating, while also giving a professional appearance. The logotype is prominently displayed behind the counter, and is quite visible, even from a distance. The counters themselves have borders on the bottom that use the same color scheme as the logotype design. I designed this counter in Cinema 4D.

The COPA Airlines Kiosk uses a sleek organic design, and an equally simplistic user interface to make user interaction easy and painless. The supporting leg is offset to the left of the kiosk, allowing space below for users to stand and store their luggage. The colors on the kiosk are vibrant and meant to be easily spotted from a distance in a busy terminal. This was also designed in Cinema 4D.
